Paraty, Brazil

During Brazil's Ciclo de Ouro, Paraty, also spelled Parati, was the main port for shipping gold to Portugal. Now, it's a charming colonial town offering visitors great beaches, a number of festivals including the Festa de Nossa Senhora dos Remédios on September 8, and a relaxing vacation.
