Harry Wilkins - Sewell, Chile circa 1909

Friday June 11, 2004
Sewell, Chile From a reader:
I believe my Grandfather lived in Sewell in about 1909. Legend has it that he took his father's boat, sailed it to Chile, sold it (or burned it to the ground as some say) and went to work for the Braden Copper company before moving to Peru in 1915 or so and working for the Cerro De Pasco Mining co.
What I am looking for is a list of American workers during that time. His name is Harry Wilkins and was single at the time.
Can you help? Post your response on the forum.
For those who don't know Sewell, read the posts beginning with Down Memory Lane in Sewell and the article and photos at Sewll, also known as El Teniente.
