7.5 Earthquake in Northern Peru

Powerful Earthquake Rocks Northern Peru (AP): "Peru's Geophysics Institute said the quake struck at 8:55 p.m. and was centered about 60 miles northeast of the jungle city Moyobamba, 420 miles north of the capital Lima." See this map.
Terremoto destruye 100 casas y deja al menos un muerto en Perú (Reuters): "Centenares de personas amanecieron el lunes durmiendo en las calles por temor a las réplicas de un terromoto de 7,5 grados en la escala de Richter, ocurrido en la noche en la selva norte de Perú, que dejó al menos un muerto y unas 100 casas destruidas, dijo una autoridad local."
The quake was felt in various parts of Peru, and in Ecuador, Colombia and Brasil.
