Sunday December 18, 2005
Gateway to the Sun Depending on your starting point, the Inca Trail is 27 to 35 miles long passing through high-mountain puno, cloud forest, and mountain passes with elevations of nearly 14,000 feet and an orchid-rich jungle before it brings you to to Machu Picchu, the fabled Lost City of the Incas.
