Ecuador's Rain Forest: Sustainable Tourism

Monday October 30, 2006
Ecuador Rain Forest In response to a question about what to see in Ecuador, the "Fearless Traveler" suggests Rough it in the rain forest (IndyStar.com) "Most travelers to Ecuador head for the blue-footed boobies in the Galapagos or the volcanoes in the Highlands -- missing the Amazonian rain forest and its pink river dolphins."

Ten wild destinations for 2007 (news.com.au) recommends Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands: "Everyone talks about sustainable tourism, but Ecuador has been on the cutting edge of planet-friendly travel for years.

Ecuadorean eco-lodges have earned high praise, and the country's indigenous tribes, especially in the remote Amazon basin, are embracing eco-tourism to help sustain their environment and culture."

Browse the offerings from Tours and Tour Operators in Ecuador and learn more about the Rainforest Region and the Galapagps.
