Ecuadorian Rainforest Tribe to Take Over Ecolodge to Protect Heritage

rainforest transportation Eco-tourism hope for Ecuador tribes (BBC News): "An indigenous tribe from one of the most remote parts of the Amazon rainforest is taking over a unique eco-tourism project as a way to protect their ancestral lands from oil extraction. "

The tribe is the Achuar who are expected to own the Kapawi Ecolodge by 2011.
