A Chupacabra, or goat sucker, is some form of animal that preys on other animals, draining their blood and leaving a carcass. The dreaded chupacabra show up in movies and folklore, but nowhere else, according to a study in Chile.

Investigations Reveal Truth of Chile's "Chupacabras" (Santiago Times): "A case study conducted by the Environmental Department of San Antonio (Region V) has determined that the recent 'chupacabra' attacks in the area - which left 19 ducks and 12 geese dead - were the result of feral dogs and not the mythical 'sucking goat."
