Visiting Arequipa

2007 Travelogue in Perú (Living in Peru) recounts a couple's arrival in Peru from Arica, Chile, staying for a few days in Arequipa with details of lodging, restaurants and sights, including a visit to the Santa Catalina Monastery.

With details about the cuisine, favorite restaurants and impressions about Arequipa, the authors sum up their experience: "Arequipa turned out to be our kind of town. It’s a city with all kinds of services and it’s a tourist destination with very good tourist services and restaurants. To top it off, for us, the possibility for sports makes it even better."
