La Mitad del Mundo and Inti Nan Museum at Ecuador's Equator
Ecuador's two equators more than double a tourist's fun (dallasnews.com) "This may seem confusing, but there are two equators in Ecuador: the fake equator with the real monument and the real equator with the fake science."
Both easily reached from Quito by taxi, bus or tour group, the Mitad del Mundo monument is the official Middle of the World site straddling both the northern and southern hemispheres. "But five minutes away, down a dirt road that borders La Mitad del Mundo, is the real equator as measured by the Global Positioning System, or so they say at the rustic, open-air Inti Nan Museum."
Several experiments and demonstrations at the Inti Nan site are fun and supposedly display the differences at the equator and the hemispheres, but are staged. Yet, as the author notes, "I'd still recommend a visit to the middle of the world. Go to La Mitad del Mundo for the photos; go to Inti Nan for the fun."

I agree, the science is not staged. I have witnessed it and experienced it personally. Inti Nan museum has a lot to offer, a cool place to enjoy some wacky experiments with gravity.
um .. yeh .. it is totally staged. I was there yesterday. Staged. Without a doubt. Fun though ..
Intiņan Museum is a fake, tricks, no science. Recomend to visit: http://www.therealequator.com
intinan is not a fake. they dont use tricks. the demonstrations there are just that, DEMONSTRATIONS
1. the act or circumstance of proving or being proved conclusively, as by reasoning or a show of evidence
2. the act of exhibiting the operation or use of a device, machine, process, product, or the like
in other words they are showing examples of facts so that the public will better understand.
