The International Day of the Worker, also known as May Day and Dia del Trabajador, in Spanish speaking countries is celebrated on May 1 as banks, government offices, stores, post offices and businesses closed for the day as people celebrate the Día Internacional Del Trabajo with parades, demonstrations and other symbols of solidarity with the worker.
