Time travelling in Uruguay (montrealgazette): "It takes 60 minutes by hydrofoil to travel 50 kilometres across the Rio de La Plata from Buenos Aires to Uruguay, but once here it takes just a few minutes to realize we’re in a 1960s time warp."

So begins the trip report to Uruguay, beginning in historic Colonia del Sacramento and nearby countryside, then on to Punta del Este. With descriptions of sights and meals, the author takes us on a leisurely visit in the off-season, when the roads and beaches are nearly deserted.
