Dove Hunting in Uruguay

From Bonnie Hamre, About.com Guide   September 28, 2009

Follow me on:

Dove Hunting in Uruguay with Black River Outfitters (MercoPress) :"Even when dove hunting in Uruguay is open all year round, dove hunters should know that the best time of the year for this activity is September through April, spring-summer season in the southern hemisphere.

The species is considered a pest in the country because of the damage they cause to grain crops such as sunflower, sorghum, soybean, etc.; thus, hunters should be aware they are always welcome by farmers when they show up with their guns!!"

For more information about Black River Outfitters and other groups with fishing and hunting offers, see Fishing and Hunting in South America.
