One of the most commonly asked questions I am asked is "where is the best place to go in South America?" or "what is the best country in South America?" Honestly I cannot even tell you what my favorite country is because each is so different it would be like choosing a favorite child.
I always ask people what they want to do or see on their holiday before offering a country to visit. Do they want to lay on the beach all day and party all night? Or would they prefer to spend their days climbing snow capped mountains? Most people don't realize that not all of South America was colonized by the Spanish, sure there is Brazil but also Suriname, French Guiana and Guyana!
