Semana Santa, Holy Week, is the most important religious festival in South America. The most famous week-long celebrations, beginning on Palm Sunday, are in Peru, Chile and Colombia. This year, Palm Sunday falls on April 9, Good Friday is April 14 and Easter Sunday is April 16.
