Getting to Bariloche

Air, land or water!

You can get to Bariloche and other locations in the Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi by land, air and water.

Air:

Aerolineas Argentinas has regular weekly flights from and to Buenos Aires. LADE airlines has an irregular schedule to various Patagonian destinations, as does Sapse. LAPA airlines flies daily flights to Buenos Aires, except on Thursday and Saturday. You can get to the airport from downtown Bariloche by shuttle, some operated by the airline.

Land:

Bus:

Bus companies Tirsa, TUS, Don Otto, Mercedes, Via Bariloche, Andesmar, TAC provide service to and from Buenos Aires, other Patagonian destinations, and other Argentine cities. You can get schedules and fare information from the offices in Bariloche or Buenos Aires, or from the bus terminal in the Estación Ferrocaril Roca, which is also the bus terminal.

TAS, Mercedes, Bus Norte and Cruz del Sur provide service to Osorno and Puerto Montt, Chile.

Local bus service comes from Turismo Algarrobal, La Puntual, and Ko-Ko.

Train:

Servicio Ferrocarril Patagonico ((Sefepa) leaves from Estación Ferrocaril Roca for Buenos Aires with stops along the way. Consult for schedule and fares at the station.

Water:

Several tour companies, including Catedral Turismo and Austral Tours provide bus and boat crossings to Puerto Montt, Chile, often with stops along the way. This is the famed Lake Crossing, or Cruce de Lagos.
