Santa Cruz
Santa Cruz has grown rapidly from a rather isolated country town to the second largest city of Bolivia. It once had an unsavory reputation, but now is an international transportation hub and the gateway to activities in the area. It boasts a zoo restricted to South American birds, mammals and reptiles.
The city retains much of its past, and blends the modern with older buildings, like the Palacio Prefectural on the Plaza de Septiembre.
