During the day, the two Robs form an alliance and seal it with a handshake which counts for nothing when Rob C is voted out. Details in Episode 4 – Wipeout!

On Day 13, with Saboga tribe losing the Immunity Challenge, their tribe is dissolved. Jerri and Ethan Zohn go to the Mogo Mogo tribe, and Rupe and Jenna Lewis go to Chapera, which turns out to be the better deal when they are welcomed and absorbed into the tribe.

The women of the tribe use their shelter building pliers and wire to make shell necklaces for all the members of the tribe, a symbol of tribal unity, says Alicia Calaway.

The Immunity Challenge on Day 15 is the balance beam incident where Richard Hatch, still naked, offended Susan Hawk in a move not directly seen but had Jeff saying, “Guys, c’mon, nobody cares about that stuff.” This, and his arrogance, perhaps contribute to being voted off. Richard left in Episode 5 – I’ve Been Bamboozled!

Day 16 dawns with Sue in a “downward spiral” unable to come to grips with the incident with Richard the day before. She frets, cries and spends time alone. At the reward challenge, she expressed her outrage, saying she’d been, among other things, “violated,” and “dehumanized” and she was “done with the game.” She was the second person to quit this game. The tribes voted to continue with the challenge, which Mogo Mogo won, recounted in Episode 6 – Outraged.

Day 17 begins with Mogo Mogo tribe drinking coffee, part of their reward challenge prize, and getting a caffeine high. Colby turns cartwheels on the sand and says that as long as they have coffee, they are “up and smiling.”

Day 19 finds Rob cuddling, sandwiched between Amber and Jenna. They sleep together, as Jenna explains, all twisted and hugging. Amber says she approves of it, and won't get jealous because she has Rob “wrapped around her little finger.” A smiling Rob says its good to keep friends close and enemies even closer. And after the game, he says Amber can help spend his million. Or he can help spend hers. We see highlights of the Immunity Challenge and Kathy Vavrick-O'Brien being kidnapped by Chapera to enjoy their major prize. Colby feels he lost the challenge and repeatedly apologized to his tribe, but it wasn’t enough to save him. In Episode 7 – Sorry, I Blew It, Colby is voted out in Tribal Council.

In Episode 8 - Pick a Tribemate, Day 20 has the contestants battling for immunity at the log jam. When Chapera wins by a narrow margin, Mogo Mogo again faces the Tribal Council. Ethan couldn’t rely on his friendship with Lex, who managed to swing the vote away from voting Jerri off to vote Ethan off instead. Jerri was very happy with her revenge for whatever Ethan did to her in Survivor Africa. Ethan says he made it farther than any other winner

Only 10 castaways left….

Join us next week, back at the regular Thursday time, when:

  • The castaways expect the merger, but get a surprising twist
  • Rob makes an arrogant boast
  • A game of trivia has a decided edge. The loser goes home.

While we're waiting for the next episode, consider this: is Amber and Rob's romance real? Or is it only as real as the game? And, if you had the power, who would you vote off next? You can reveal your opinions in the Episode 9 Poll.

    See you next time!
