However, our readers have more confidence in Amber than that. In the Episode 10 Poll, most viewers thought she could stand on her own without Rob. They also guessed at the identity of the person Rob lies to in this episode, but most likely, it will be to all his tribe mates.
Episode 11 promises to be an exciting one! It begins on cloudy Day 25 with Lex van den Berghe chopping wood in the Chapera camp, musing about keeping Amber on, confident that Rob will be good on his word. Rob, on Mogo Mogo camp, worries about Amber and is depressed. The others comment on his sadness. He and Alicia Calaway talk, and promise each other not to write the other’s name on a vote.
At the Reward Challenge, host Jeff Probst tells them they are still two tribes, but the challenge is an individual one. The prize is a helicopter ride to an overnight stay at a resort, complete with showers, massage and dinner. The winner can choose two people, from either tribe, to enjoy the treat. The challenge is an underwater retrieval test in four rounds. The first round has all nine contestants diving for seven pots, the next has seven contestants diving for five pots, and the third round has five diving for three pots. The final round has the winners of the three pots diving, retrieving and then lugging a heavy crate ashore. The first won to cross the finish line wins. In round one, Shii-Ann Huang and Jenna Lewis are the first ones up and out. In the next round, Amber and Kathy Vavrick-O'Brien are out. Rupert Boneham , Lex and Rob are in the finals. Rupe, with his strength and underwater experience, takes an early lead and holds on to it to claim his first ever Survivor reward.
With the helicopter approaching, he chooses Amber and Jenna to accompany him on his reward. They take off, waving and smiling at the others left behind. Rupe says that “his kid is going to say that he has the strongest Daddy in the world,” and a few minutes later says “he’s in heaven with two goddessess.”
At the resort, the three ooh and aah over the toiletries, sandals, sarongs and makeup. They take long showers, the women enjoy the makeup and nail polish, and are blissful with the massages. Over dinner, Rupe prompts a discussion of alliances which Amber goes along with, but she is uneasy having already made alliances with Lex and Kathy.
The helicopter returns them the next day to Saboga beach, where Jeff and the tribes are waiting for them. Jeff notes Ambeer and Jenna's painted nails as he takes back the immunity challenge and tells the tribes to drop their buffs. This time it is the merge! The tribes take their new blue buffs, exchange hugs and handshakes, and then Jeff tells them they are not returning to their camps.
