The last episode ended with Christa, Sandra's closest ally, being sent to the jury. She and Jon are the only ones left from the original Drake tribe, once so strong and invincible. Our reader's poll from Episode 12 reveals renewed confidence that she can be the Sole Survivor. And Jon, while he's playing everyone, is only out for Jon. Will this episode be the one when the Survivors finaly see him as he is and vote him out? One can only hope... .

This week’s episode begins with the Survivors returning to camp after Tribal council. Jon and Burton are triumphant after blindsiding Christ and voting her off. Sandra thinks she’ll be he next one voted of, but Jon and Burton target Darrah.

Day 31 begins with Sandra musing about Christa and feeling vulnerable. Believing her days are marked, she plots sabotage against the other by planning to hide water jugs, fishing equipment, machetes, knives – the lot. “They’ll feel it more than I am,” she promises of her retribution.

Jon and Burton try to convince Lil to vote Darrah off next, but she protests that it is not right and comes to realize that Burton has been stringing her along with promises to be in he Final Four. She says that if Burton and Jon cans screw Darrah over, they can do the same to her.

At the Reward Challenge, for which the prize is a night spent in the ruins in Old Panama, all that’s left of the city Sir Henry Morgan once sacked and burned, the Survivors compete in a collage of tests already endured once. They have to untie themselves, retrieve keys, unlock cages and unscramble a puzzle to reveal a pirate term. Lil takes the initial lead, but bogs down retrieving her key as Burton surges forward and holds the lead to unscramble his puzzle: Jolly Roger.

He chooses to take Jon with him, and accompanied by host Jeff Probst, they take a boat ride to the mainland, where they see a bright red GMC Envoy SUV, complete with camping gear, which is Burrton’s additional prize. Feeling very pleased, Burton and Jon drive to the ruins where a great feast awaits them. They eat well, and settling into the camping gear, discuss the “girls” let in Balboa camp.

They’re not worried. Jon states that they have the “intellectual advantage” over the girls, and if once strays, it won’t be hard to pull her back in to their alliance. Jon crows that they’ve been running the show for he last 20 days, playing the game perfectly. They agree not to say anything about Burton’s new car. Burton plans to talk to Lil, while Jon targets Sandra. He knows she doesn’t trust him, but states she’ll do anything to get to the next level in the game.

Meanwhile, on Balboa, he the three women discuss their situation. Lil now says that they shouldn’t listen to anything the men say, something Sandra has been saying all along. They agree on a plan. If one of them wins Immunity, they will vote Burton off. They also agree on a strategy to mislead Burton and Jon on their return, but Lil is stressed, not sleeping and Sandra worries she’ll give away their plan.

The next morning, Lil and Darrah greet the returning Jon and Burton with hugs and complaints about Sandra. Burton and Jon realize they are acting, but are surprised by Sandra who rests under a blanket and won’t say much. While Burton goes off with Lil, Jon tries to convince Sandra to join him and Burton’s alliance, promising on is grandmother’s grave, swearing three times on it, that he and Burton will take her to the Final Three. He wants her to swear on her two children, which she does, but adds under her breath that she’s swearing she’ll “screw the guys.”

Lil tells Burton she’s exhausted and wants to go home. She fights back, making Burton uneasy. He and Jon decide that they’ll vote Darrah of first, but if she wins Immunity again, then they’ll vote Lil off. They head off to the Immunity Challenge feeling very confident.
