The two hour finale begins with host Jeff Probst arriving, at dawn, with a champagne breakfast for the remaining survivors. After toasting them, Jeff gives each a packet of letters from home, he sails away, leaving them to read their letters.
Darrah is moved to tears, Sandra rejoices that everything is fine at home and she can turn all her concentration to the game. Lillian cries over her mail and Jon mocks her theatrics as overshadowing every one else. He is the only one not to share mail.
When Jon asks if the women have made a deal, and they refuse to answer him, he takes it as a yes answer, sneering at them as sharing an inferiority complex to men, and accuses Lil of using her hearts and flowers technique as a rehearsal for Tribal Council. He starts a discussion in which Lil asks Darrah if she will take her to the Final Two, and when Darrah says she doesnt know, since she doesnt know if she will be around then, Lil retreats in a huff to the hammock.
Jon and Darrah then agree to get rid of Lil. Lil and Sandra agree to vote off Jon, but they are worried that Darrah is the strongest threat, having won Immunity three times in a row. Jon smiles, when he knows that either Lil or Darrah will be the next to leave.
Tree mail directs them to be at Tribal Council. Surprised that there is no challenge before the Council, the Final Four arrive to find the challenge waiting for them. The challenge lies in answering five questions. The Four will compete individually, the jury will vote as a group. If the jury wins, there is no Immunity for any of the Four. After the questions, dealing with pirate lore and survival, the jury wins. After questioning the Four about their strategy the Four vote. Darrah becomes the 13th Survivor to be voted off and joins the jury. Lil, Jon and Sandra return to Balboa camp, discussing Darrahs departure. After a stormy night, the three head for the last Immunity Challenge. Ignoring the rain, they are given poles bearing flags with the names of Survivors already voted off, told to take them aboard the replica of the pirate ship, say a few nice words about the Survivors, then return to land, fire muskets and set the ship ion fire. They do so, and hold hands as the ship burns, glad that they are the ones not burning.
Early the next day, Jeff waits for them on a raft and directs each to a platform, where they will face an endurance test. The must not allow their buttocks or their knees to touch the raft while they balance as long as they can. After 15 minutes, Sandra loses her balance and is out. Jon begins taunting Lil, asking her if she wants to make a deal, but she refuses and tells him to be quiet. Hes still at it two hours later, but he is becoming restive and feeling discomfort while Lil maintains her original squatting position. Forty-five minutes later, Jon shifts position again, loses his balance and is out. Lil wins her only and the last Immunity Challenge. Proudly accepting the sword, Lil leads the others back to camp. She has to choose between Sandra and Jon for the Final Two. Sandra reminds Lil of the times shes been here for her wile Jon tells Lil that Sandra has more friends on the jury and shell get more votes if she takes him. Before they head to Tribal Council, Lil sings Amazing Grace.
At Tribal council, Jeff asks the Final Three who stands out in their minds. Jon cites Burton as an awesome friend, and Rupert as a great guy and his strongest competitor. Sandra is shocked that Lil has lasted so long, and asks, Who would have thought? Lil, on the last night to control their fates, says that in making her decision, shes considered Jons attributes as always thinking, getting out of trouble, while Sandra has many friends on the jury. Her decision comes down to whether she can eat he other person. Her vote is the only one that counts, and she decides to vole off Jon.
At last!
