Neptune's Bellows at Deception Island
Neptune's Bellows, a narrow chink in the encircling cliffs forming the ring around the natural harbor created by volcanic action, now called Deception Island. This is the only way into Whaler's Bay.
Neptune's Window is a natural opening in the cliffs around the caldera. Whalers used this as a lookout to spot whalers in Antarctic waters.
Deception Island is between Drake Passage and the Antarctic Peninsula. See map.
