Cerro Fitz Roy
Santa Cruz Province, Argentina

Cerro Fitz Roy

Located in the Parque National Los Glaciares covering an area of 6,000.000 sq km of mountains, glaciers and lakes in the Santa Cruz Province of Argentine Patagonia, Cerro Fitz Roy is 11,073 ft or 3,375 m high, and presents a challenge to trekkers and climbers.

Seen here in this photo taken on the road from Chaltén, "Fitzroy is the high peak in a cluster of vertical rock spires that rise on the eastern edge of one of the great Patagonian ice caps."

UNESCO declared the park a world heritage site in 1981.
