San Jose de Lules
Tucuman, Argentina

San Jose de Lules

This Jesuit mission came to an end when the Jesuits were expelled in the late 1770s, but before that, they had supervised education, workshops, a sawmill, ironworks, artworks and the creation of the sugar industry around Tucuman. The ruins are a National Historic Monument.

San Jose de Lules

From the ruins, a Dominican church was erected, with this splendid interior.
