Parinacota

This reconstructed 17th century church in Parinacota is located in an Aymara village within the
borders of Lauca National Park. Built with walls of stone and mud reinforced by outer stone abutments without mortar,
the church has some fine murals, particularly the one of the Last Judgment.
Visitors who ask why a table is secured to a chapel wall will be told that the table leaves
the church by night to rest at the front door of someone who will die that night.
