Flora and Fauna of Chile Vicuñas


vicunas

These vicuñas live in Lauca National Park in northern Chile. They are part of the Camelid family; they are shy, not easily trained. Small, about 100 pounds and standing three feet tall at the shoulders, they live at altitudes above 14,000 feet.
