Greater Flamingoes

Galapagos

Greater flamingoes are related to the Chilean flamingoes that live on the mainland, but these are found only in the Galapagos. The are large, over three ft (1 m), and live in small groups in saltwater estuaries and lagoons. They are all pink with black patches on wings and a black bill.
