Chan Chan
This is a portion of the huge archaeological site at Chan Chan. Built around 1300AD by the Chimus, the city had circa 10,000 buildings, decorated with precious metals and colorful friezes, or designs in the mud bricks.
This is an artist's rendition of what Chan Chan may have looked like its prime.
