Saqsaywaman with all the variations in spelling means Satisfied Falcon in Quechua.
Many of the blocks from this huge fortification were carried away to build houses in Cuzco but enough remains to
grasp the original size.
Within walking distance of Cuzco, these ruins are now less than
20% of what they were before the Spaniards destroyed the fortress
after defeating Manco Inca here.
