Also known as Johnny Rook, Striated Caracara Phalcoboenus australis was considered a danger to sheep farming in the Falkland Islands / Islas Malvinas and ruthlessly hunted. Following its inclusion on the endangered species list, the caracara population is encouraged on remote, uninhabited islands
