Ecological adventures in Suriname aren't as well known as elsewhere in South America, but the rewards and sights are equal to many more famous locales.
A prime destination drawing visitors to Suriname is Mount Kasikasima. It takes twelve days and eleven nights hiking and camping through the rain forest past sacred waterfalls, like this one, to the twelve peaks of Mt. Kasikasima so this is not an adventure for the faint of heart.
