Coffee Beans, Colombia
Photo of the Week - 05/11/2008

Sacks of coffee beans are stacked so high in Pasto, Colombia that workers climb them as through scaling a wall.
Colombia is known for full-bodied, flavorful coffee accounting for about twelve percent of the world's consumption. The qualities of the coffee beans vary by where they are grown in the country. Coffee is popularly served as:
- tinto: small cup of strong, black coffee
- perico or pintado: small cup of coffee with milk
- café con leche: coffee with lots of milk
