Esta es una obra del escultor Guillermo Córdova (19/12/1938) fundida en bronce y piedra del gran estadista británico amigo de la independencia hispanoamericana. Existe una placa que dice "S.E. Don Arturo Alessandri Palma, Presidente de la República de Chile inauguró este monumento el 19/12/38. S. M. Eduardo VIII puso la primera piedra el 8/9/1925 cuando visitó el país como Príncipe de Gales".

Guillermo Córdova's bronze and stone sculpture commemorates British statesman George Cummings who supported Latin American independence. The plaque reads: "His Excellency, President Arturo Alessandri Palma inaugurated this monument on December 18, 1938. His Majesty, King Edward VIII, placed the first stone on September 9, 1925 when he visited Chile as the Prince of Wales."
