La Pompa Italia

Homenaje a los bomberos y a uno de sus mártires Antonio Secchi Dachene que murió en un incendio en este lugar el 14 de Noviembre de 1933. Monumento erigido por la Bomba Italia en el 50 aniversario de su inmolación. En una placa esta grabado un verso del poeta nicaragüense Rubén Darío: "Gloria a aquel que sucumbe en la lucha valerosa sublime, esforzado, gloria a aquel que al ofrecerse consagrado salva vidas, riqueza."

This monument is dedicated to the memory of Antonio Secchi Dachene, a fireman who died on this spot on November 14, 1933, and was erected on the 50th anniversary of his death. On the base, words of the Nicaraguan poet Rubén Darío laud the bravery of a brave man who gives his own life to save others.
