Half pig, half serpent, Cuchivilu raids the fish corrals built by fishermen on the beaches. When the tide comes in, the corrals fill with fish, which the fishermen later collect. However, if Cuchivilu gets there first, the corral must be dismantled and purified by a Cheputo ceremony.
