La iglesia fue construida entre 1879 y 1888 de alerce y ciprés, tiene 40 metros de largo por 15 metros de ancho, con una maciza torre de 3 cañas de unos 25 metros; es testimonio de la construcción chilota.

The church was built between 1879 and 1888 of larch and cypress. It is 40 meters long and 15 meters wide, with a large three-tiered tower 25 meters high. The church is a testimonial to Chilote construction.
