El minero es orgulloso de su oficio pues ha sido el carbón el que ha impulsado al país y a su industria: los barcos a vapor cargaban carbón en Lota, además abastecían a los barcos de la Guerra del Pacífico, el primer ferrocarril, la primera luz con gas de carbón, etc.
