Rattlesnake - Crotalus durissus
Like its rattlesnake cousins found from Canada to South America, this tropical rattlesnake shakes its tail to warn away enemies. Its venom is particularly neurotoxic - very poisonous!
Crotalus durissus lives in open, grassy plains and scrubland. It is viviparous, and eats mice or other small animals.
