Patagonian Cavy
"The Patagonian Cavy is a member of the rodent family and is native to Patagonia. Cavies can reach speeds of up to 18 mph. They make their nests in burrows, sometimes stealing them from other animals. The gestation period is 80 to 90 days. Litter size ranges from 1 to 3 young. Cavies are basically diurnal, but as human contact encroaches they become nocturnal."
