- Adhesive tape for mending currency, papers, etc.

- Pack liquids (in containers) and damp items in plastic, resealable bags.
- Take large garbage sacks for packing used or damp clothing.
- Take dryer softener sheets in a plastic bag and use to keep the contents of your suitcase smelling fresh..
- Pack women's shoes within men's shoes.
- Pack one or two days clothing and your valuables in your carry-on.
- Use a cloth cooler bag as your carry-on. You'll use it on daily outings.
- Diaper bags make great carryalls even if you don't have young children.
- Use non-aerosol products.
- Make a first aid kit with bandages, etc., for small mishaps.
