Visitors to the Amazon have a choice of jungle lodges and riverboats. Some are basic, offering a back to anture approach. Others are becoming increasingly luxusirous, offering upscale amenities along with the largest tropical rain forest in the world.
All have to contend with the weather and humidity. Over most of this vast region the climate is very warm and humid. Rain falls about 200 days each year, and total rainfall exceeds 80 inches per year.
