Esteros del Iberá, Argentina
"Argentina’s biggest unsung attraction, Esteros del Iberá is a breathtaking wetland--while it may lack the total biomass of Africa’s famous plain, the variety of species and the sheer numbers of birds, mammals and reptiles is still awesome."

Gualeguaychú Outline
"Its tourist attractions are quite varied and is considered to be the seat of the most important carnival celebration of the country, displaying a corsodromo (carnival centre) with a capacity of 35.000 people, scenary of the wonderful spreading of carnival floats and parades. This city is the ideal place to enjoy a well-earned rest, in a background of peace, security and beauty."

"Entre Ríos’s biggest party town, the riverside city of Gualeguaychú, hosts one of Argentina’s top Carnaval celebrations—not quite Rio, but well worth seeing if you’re in Buenos Aires instead of Brazil. Dating from 1783, it has a smattering of colonial constructions, but is most popular with Argentines for access to its namesake river."

Las Canas and Gualeguaychu
"Well, I’ll confess that I only came to Gualeguaychu because the name was so incredibly dope, but the town has really grown on me. It’s charming and laid back, has a nice river and at one in the afternoon the streets are completely deserted."

Mesopotamia and the Paraná, Argentina
"One of the world's great river systems supports two of the continent's most spectacular attractions: the world-famous Iguazú Falls and the isolated, almost unknown wetlands of the Esteros del Iberá. The region can also boast landmark historical Jesuit missions that extend into Brazil and Paraguay."

Parque Nacional Chaco
"West of Resistencia, but not quite to the “Impenetrable” of the mid-Chaco, Parque Nacional Chaco is a serene, little-visited haven of dense forest and scattered, bird-rich wetlands. Most but not all of the park avoided deforestation during the heyday of the tannin trade; some parts are recuperating."
