La Paz is a vibrant city, teeming with residents and visitors. The street life is active, the nightlife more so.
You must take in a peña, or music club, for a musical evening in which cultural traditions and typical Andean musical instruments come together in folk style.
There are a number of cafes, night clubs, bars and restaurants to choose from. The most expensive are near the Prado, around Plaza Isabel La Catolica.
