This couple seems more interested in each other than the panoramic view of La Paz.
They are on a mirador, or viewpoint. There are several miradores where you can appreciate the vistas of La Paz:
- From Parque Laikacota, at the top of Av. Ejercito west of the city center, you'll get the best, clear views of the city and the rugged terrain to the east, all the way to Mt. Illimani. Small admission fee.
- From Mirador Monticulo, a small park next to Plaza España, has a clear view of Illimani. The city views are obscured by a church and the trees, but the location is a favorite evening stroll for couples. No fee.
- Avenida Camacho, in the center of the city, is a straight view line to Illimani.
