Note the deeply fissured water ways into the mainland, for which this area is called the fjords.
This region was accessible only by water or by air until the completion of the Pan American highway Puerto Montt and Coihaique, or by land from Argentina where there were passes over the Andes.
The tour aboard the Skorpios III begins and ends in Puerto Montt, and passes through a region formed from ice, water, wind and earthquakes. It is a wild and beautiful area and visitors thrill to the opportunity to see and be a part of it, if only for a short time.
