Cross the plaza to the corner of Compañía-Merced and Paseo Estado to the Casa Colorada, a museum and tourist office. La Casa Colorada is one of the few remaining colonial buildings in Santiago. It houses the Museum of Santiago detailing Santiago's history, including a number of dioramas representing key moments in the city and country's history. Some of these dioramas are displayed in the Casa Colorada Photo Gallery.

With the information and maps you'll get here, you can plot your way around the most popular sites of historic buildings, national monuments, museums, listed on Sernatur's Galerías de Arte y Museos and other sites of interest. Check the days and times when attractions are open to the public.
