Cocktails and Alcoholic Beverages

South Ameica has a variety of national alcoholic beverages. Some are known as "national drinks".
Cazuela en Champagne
The ever popular Bellini has nothing on this long-time favorite cocktail from Chile. Frozen pureed fruit of your choice, champagne or sparkling wine, yummm. It's often served with or instead of dessert and you can also create a non-alcholic version.

Chicha
"Chicha is a fermented beverage brewed by the indigenous people of the Andean region. It is traditionally prepared from a specific kind of yellow maize and is usually referred to as chicha de jora. It has a pale straw color, a slightly milky appearance, and a slightly sour aftertaste. It is drunken either young and sweet or mature and strong."
Caipirinha de Tangerina
"This traditional Brazilian drink prepared with cachaça gets even better (I didn't know it was possible, honestly!) when it's made with a very sweet tangerine."
