Pisco Sour Chilean Style

Pisco is a brandy or aguardiente distilled from the white muscat grapes grown in two main regions of South America: the area around Pisco, Peru and the Valle del río Elqui in central Chile. The Pisco Sour is a hugely favorite cocktail.

Ingredients:

  • 3 parts Pisco
  • 1 part freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • sugar and ice to taste

Preparation:

Mix together in a cocktail shaker. Variations: add 1 tablespoon egg white, or a few drops of Angostura Bitters. Serve 4.
