From the Quebrada de Escoipe, the road to Cachi climbs. With the altitude, the climate and vegetation changes, with these cactus, called cardones, dotting the hillside.
These cardones are in the Los Cardones National Park, a favored sight for birdwatchers on the Cachi road.
