Survivor 11 Guatemala Episode 10

Immunity Challenge: Around the Bend

From , former About.com Guide

The Immunity Challenge is another obstacle course, but this time it is each individual Survivor tied to a long rope threaded through three obstacles. The first four will final and go to a second round of obstacles over three levels of a wooden structure. Host Jeff Probst reminds them that the winner has a one in seven chance to win the one million dollar prize.

The players set out with Gary in the lead. He makes good time until he gets hung up. Danni, Lydia and Judd run into trouble at the start and have no way out. Rafe, Jamie, Steph and Cindy make the finals and proceed to the next round, where Rafe takes the lead, fighting it out with Jamie until the last moment to win Immunity. He's safe from Tribal Council that night.

They all return to camp, with congratulations to Rafe, who is very pleased with his win, but he knows this sets him up as a threat and may make him change his game plan.

Gary accepts that he's on the way out. He says he's played the game and given it his best shot and knows that he's going out fighting. But, he adds, you never know what will happen.

Jamie is carring on, still worried about possible bonding at the Reward prize and Judd tells him not to freak out. Jamie knows the others will catch on to him as a serious threat. He talks to Cindy who reassures him they are sticking to the original plan to vote out the Yaxhá tribe first. She says Jamie's paranoia is getting old, that he never knows when to shut up, but he's still wondering if Steph will keep her promise.

Jamie pulls Rafe aside and asks him repeatedly for reassurance that they are still sticking together. Rafe gets fed up with this, as he later tells Lydia, ssaying Jamie is driving him nuts. He raises the question: maybe they should vote out Jamie? Lydia is surprised, but she eventually agrees. Steph does too, but notes that Gary, a "smooth operator," is still a threat.

When they gather at Tribal Council, Jeff asks the four winners of the Reward Challenge if they had a bonding experience. Steph says they have, and Danni agrees, saying it's been good to get to know Steph and Judd. Judd praises Gary as a "man's man" but adds it won't affect his vote. When asked if would miss anyone from the game later on, Jamie waffles a bit, but mentions that every one has super hearts and has supported him. Gary says that a positive attitude is the most important thing for survival and he's tried to stay upbeat. He says that "what happens, happens."

They vote. Judd and Jamie vote for Gary. Gary votes for Jamie as do all the other players. Jamie is the eleventh player voted out and the second member of the jury. As he leaves, he shouts, "Blindsided! Nice. Now that's how you vote somebody out!" His family praises him, mentioning he's done what he wanted to do and will have a lifetime of memories to show for it, but Jamie is angry with Lydia for not telling him that he was on the block. After all he's done for her when she was in trouble, he thinks she betrayed him.

Gary is stunned by his last minute save. How will this affect the way he plays the game from now on?
