With each tribe retaining three of the original members, Cindy , Judd and Margaret from the "old" Nakúm tribe, and Amy , Brian and Gary from the "old" Yaxhá tribe, can they join forces with the incoming members now that they've had some time together? Or will the animosity that Margaret holds for Judd, calling him "traitor," come to a head? Or will Bobby-Jon, Brandon and Danni feel left out with the Yaxhá-ites? How will Stephenie, Lydia , Rafe and Jamie get along with the Nakúm-ians? Word has it that both tribes go to Tribal Council this episode and both lose a team member? Who will they be? Let's see what happens in Episode 6: Day 15 begins in Yaxhá camp with the players pondering how Blake got voted off. Brandon has second thoughts, seeing how vulnearble they all are, but Bobby-Jon says you do what you have to do, but Brian and Gary disicuss picking off the old Nakúm-ians one by one. In the Nakúm camp, the group fights of mosquitos. Rafe notes how they grow worse after a rain and how hard it is to stay positive. He calls attention to Margaret who is still devastated over the tribal switch. She misses her old tribe and appears to be "fading out." Margaret laments her new status and misses her old position higher on the food chain. Judd scoffs, saying the old "tribe aint' coming back" and she's stuck with the newly formed one. At the Reward Challenge, Boulder Smash, Jeff Probst announces the game and the reward: the tribe that gets a huge ball rolled across the tribal colored line three times wins a feast of a barbecue grill, hot dogs, hamburgers and buns, plus beer and root beer. However, there is a twist. No matter who wins the challenge, both tribes are going to Tribal Council and voting out a player. Once the Reward Challenge is completed, the members of the winning ribe will compete for the first individual Immunity Challenge. The winner of that challenge will be safe from Tribal Council. The tribes salivate over the reward and begin the game with gusto. Lydia sits out for Nakúm since they have an extra player. First up are Danni and Amy from Yaxhá competing against Cindy and Steph. Yaxhá wins the first point. Next, Brandon and Bobby-Jon compete against Judd and Jamie from Nakúm, who win that point. Bobby-Jon and Jamie lose their tempers and indulge in a shove and curse fight. The third set of players are Nakúm's Judd and Steph against Gary and Amy, whose previoulsy injured ankle gives way again and she falls under the ball. However, she gets up quickly and continues the game. Even though she in injured, Amy is the second woman in her tribe and she must compete again, this time with Margaret against Margaret and Cindy. The score is now tied, at 2-2. Bobby-Jon and Brian against Gary and Jamie fight for the last point, which Nakúm wins. Led by a limping Amy, the c-ites head back to camp, while the Nakúm players line up to race for three bags containing tiles. When they have individually retrieved each one, the first one to open their bags and assemble the tiles into a two-word phrase will win Individual Immunity, be safe from Tribal Council, and what's more, listen in on the Yaxhá Tribal Council. Steph is first to retrieve a bag, followed by Cindy and the others in a blur with Judd bringing up the rear. He has trouble opening his bag, and standing next to Rafe who is already assembling his tiles, blurts out "Ancient ruins." Rafe assembles his tiles to spell that and wins the first Individual Immunity necklace. Nakúm players head back to their camp, where they set up their feast and congratulate themselves on an all-around good day. The Yaxhá-ites aren't enjoying theie day at all. Amy is hurt, saying "it's horrible" that they lost and Danni says they gave everything they had. Brandon and Bobby-Jon talk about the fight, saying Jamie is "cocky and arrogant," and Bobby-Jon congratulates himself for putting Jamie in his place. Brian adds. "Of the six of us, no one is safe tonight, nobody has Immunity and every one is looking to get further. Anything could happen at Tribal Council tonight!" Amy's ankle snapped under her, and it's swollen again, but she's determined to live with it. The tribe talks about the coming Tribal Council, saying they are 3-3 old and new tribe members and no one is safe. Brian and Gary talk quietly and agree to keep the original Yaxhá players together. Brandon notes that Amy and Brian are the weakest players, and Brian states that anything can happen at Tribal Council. Suggested ReadingElsewhere on the Web |
